Why you should visit Alleppey aka Alappuzha
Allpey was the last destination in our Kerala trip, we covered Munnar and Thekkady earlier.
After savoring the breathtaking views of lush green hills in Munnar and enjoying a leisurely boat ride in Thekkady’s Periyar National Park, we were eager to discover what Alleppey had to offer.
We arrived in Alleppey from Thekkady just before sunset. Our cab driver recommended that we should immediately take a boat ride through the backwaters. Though we were a bit tired after a day-long journey with site-seeing, we decided to book a boat for a short ride. As we began navigating the narrow pathways through the stunning backwaters, we truly understood why this charming city is called the 'Venice of the East”.
A trip to Kerala would be incomplete without a visit to Alleppey, that's for sure. Let’s explore the top things to do in this beautiful small town.
